Accessibility solutions with stairlift platforms
Investing in stairlifts is one of the best options to guarantee the accessibility of residential buildings. In fact, they are one of Excelsior’s main products for residents’ associations.
Its goal is to facilitate the adaptation of buildings to accessibility regulations. The final cost will depend on the particularities of each installation, depending in each case on the dimensions of the stairs and whether they are straight, curved or straight with a change of slope, as well as the type of stairlift platform chosen.
The stairlifts are composed of a completely flat surface, so they can accommodate wheelchairs, the elderly or people with mobility problems. They also include a semi-open cabin with a non-slip floor, in which the user can stand in complete safety. They are operated by means of intuitive pushbuttons for raising and lowering.
Our stair lifts are designed to overcome height differences and stairs (up to 3 m. for vertical stairs, 15 m. for straight inclined stairs and 30 m. for curved inclined stairs). Manufactured under the strictest quality standards and with maximum ease of use, it occupies the minimum possible space in the environment in which it is installed, facilitating accessibility on any existing flight of stairs or slope.
They are very versatile accessibility solutions as they are not only suitable for people with reduced mobility, but also for those who have to move heavy weights or who have difficulties going up or down stairs for other reasons (prams, shopping trolleys, elderly people, etc.).
It is intuitive for anyone to use, and installation time is very short. In addition, it is an accessibility solution that adapts to all types of stairs (whether curved, straight, with different levels, with landings, etc.) and unevenness.

Straight inclined
platform stairlift
EXC-IR
With the EXC-IR straight inclined platform stairlift, maximum comfort is achieved and the visual impact on the environment where they are installed is minimised, while at the same time allowing any type of unevenness and straight flight of stairs to be overcome.
The straight inclined platform stairlift is the perfect solution for making straight indoor and outdoor stairs accessible to a person with reduced mobility. The transport of wheelchairs is guaranteed with a load capacity of up to 250 kg. Thanks to its design, this platform stairlift adapts to any environment and improves the independence and quality of life of its users.
It has a robust construction that guarantees a long service life and reliable performance, confirming the highest safety and quality standards. In addition to this, it offers an extremely slim and compact design and can be folded on its axis, thus taking up minimal space and keeping the ladder free of obstruction.
Curved inclined
platform stairlift
EXC-IC
The EXC-IC curved inclined platform stairlift is the ideal solution for both curved and straight stairs with slope changes in confined spaces, both indoors and outdoors.
With the same technical specifications as the straight inclined platform stairlifts, this type of platform stairlift achieves maximum comfort. It is capable of bridging any turn or curve required in the space where it is installed, thanks to its specially designed rail and power, taking up little space, as it folds on its own axis.
It can negotiate inner and outer curves with a small radius, overcoming inclined and horizontal sections on short or multi-storey routes with multiple stops. Due to the extremely space-optimised and compact construction of the platform stairlift, it can be installed on almost any staircase. Available in different platform lift dimensions, in all RAL colours and in stainless steel.
One of the peculiarities of stairlifts is that they can be adapted to the particularities of each building and also to different budgets. In fact, their design allows them to be installed with minimal work in doorways, but also in rooms and spaces where other solutions are not possible.
Due to the customisation of these accessibility solutions and the elements that influence their installation, stairlifts do not have a fixed cost. The main factors to take into account when estimating the cost are:
- Type of staircase: straight or curved, with or without constant slope, with or without landings, with or without particular shapes, etc.
- Distance and height to be bridged: the longer the distance and the higher the height, the more elements will be needed, which will increase the price. The number of curves and the length of the rail are also decisive.
- Characteristics of the stairlifts: i.e. whether it will be indoors or outdoors, whether it will need more elements for adaptation, whether it will end its route on the staircase itself or outside, etc.
